 Hi everybody, I appreciate a lot your answers. I’m going to do another 
tests taking in account advices from JCW and the Larry’s one.
 About the test that I did, it was did it in local filesystem, without any 
additional load over the servers which have the following basic 
characteristics:

 P4:
  256 MB ram
  1 Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 1.70GHz

Alpha Server:
  1 Gb ram
  2 alpha processors at 600 MHz each one.
 
  I’ll tell you whatever next test’s results that I’ll do it .
