[Starkit] tclkit 8.4.9 vs. tclkit 8.5a2 problem

Howdy!

Just for smiles, I tried executing notebook.kit using the
Tcl 8.5a2 tclkit (for Linux, if it matters).  I got a message
that it couldn't find package "app-notebook".  Now,
notebook.kit starts in the usual way; here's the "main.tcl":

   package require starkit
   starkit::startup
   package require app-notebook

It works fine with the 8.4.9 tclkit.  What gives?
