Re: Itcl, you may want to have a look at the documentation here:

While T2 is a great move forward (IMNSHO) from T1, there are still
some bumps in the road to smooth out.  As such, at this point you may
have to dive into the internals a bit more than you'd want - just a  
heads
up... hence knowing a bit about Itcl may be necessary.  Though overall
the code is not tricky.
