This is great.  C++ needs to go, it's a nice idea gone totally sour.

I'll have other C++-independent solutions available later, which can  
probably be slotted right in.  Speed-wise, size-wise, and  
functionality-wise this will provide a lot more choices.  No  
timeline, but you can be sure I'll announce things here when I get  
there.
