Yes, although they appear to look at it from a Linux supplier's point  
of view, i.e. what is under the hood to make different distro's  
similar enough.  What I think is needed is a specific Linux distro  
which has all the minimum requirements and not one bit more.  So that  
building on it creates a proper binary.  Right now, the fact that  
tclkit builds on a LSB system does not give us any guarantee that it  
runs on any other.

Also, this does not address older distro's.  The good ol' days of  
<pick-your-linux> 6/7/8.x :)

PS.  I've been able to hack my way around to resuscitate my mandrake  
7.2 setup, so at least for now there are 8.4.13 build for it again  
(with static C++, as before).
