Thanks.  I've set up a CVS-based repository on equi4.com containing  
the zlib sources to simplify things further.  The wget/tar/move steps  
should no longer be needed now.

Have also changed the toplevel makefile to extract cvs to "8.4/"  
i.s.o. "8.4-cvs/" (only happens if 8.4/ does not yet exist).

I've integrated as much as I could of your patch, and simplified  
further where possible.  Also updated the kitgen docs - things  
<cough> should </cough> work out of the box with mingw as well now.   
If not, please let me know what tweaks are still needed.  FWIW, I  
hope to be able to test this myself on a clean Win2K setup next week.

Being able to build a wide range of Tclkit Lite binaries from 100%  
source on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux should cover a lot of cases,  
methinks.  Tweaks for more platforms are always welcome, of course.
