Yup - that's pretty much the situation (I found the same limitation  
when I developed Klant).

I have a vague recollection of someone telling me a workaround that  
didn't involve making TLS VFS aware - reading from a socket perhaps  
or maybe it required one to first copy the certificate to a temp file.

I'm sure if there is a workaround someone will mention it on the list
